Sequestration Impacting Tuition Assistance for Veterans

I found out today that tuition assistance for Veterans is being cut and/or eliminated in some instances. For what our Veterans do and have done, the government's support for them should never waver. I understand the budget issue. I get it. However, before a soldier's money is touched, those in Congress should take it from their own salaries, first. And, before doing the media circuit to blame the "other side" as it seems so many do, use that time to work on getting a budget done. Negotiate. Work it out. Show me and others that the effort has been made. Then, and only then if the numbers don't add up and cuts have to be made, then look into reducing benefits such as tuition. Just don't arbitrarily take funds away from our Veterans.
